Client:   Pacific Larval Centre

Description:   Large hatchery and maturation facility on Punta Chame producing L. vannamei.  PLC was an early leader in closed cycle production of L. vannamei and developed high quality SPF broodstock early on using an indoor raceway system with recirculating water. 

Service provided:    Technical advisor on all aspects of production.   Worked with management to improve productivity in all facets of production.    Advised on maturation, genetics, water quality, production, biosecurity, and animal health issues.   Marketed SPF animals to Thailand. 


Client:   AgroMarina De Panama

Description:  A large company with its own hatchery and more than 1000 acres of semi intensive ponds. 

Service Provided:   A complete technical audit on operations and advised management as to the cause of underlying productivity issues.  Also evaluated a commercial "pond probiotic" program to determine if it was working as advertised.  It was not.  Conducted extensive testing of mixture of bacterial and fungal cell walls under field conditions and demonstrated a significant reduction in bacterial disease problems.   Audited processing plant and farm.


Client:  Punta Chame

Description:  Large hatchery and maturation facility on Punta Chame producing L. vannamei.   Right across the street from Pacific Larval Centre.   A part of the Riande group affiliated with more than 500 acres of ponds.

Service Provided:  A complete technical audit of the hatchery and maturation to determine underlying causes of poor productivity.
