ABSA, ECIC and SURAQ  South Africa and Suriname 2007 Independent Aquaculture Expert consultant on project from construction through completion. 
Worked with lending institution to audit a high density recirculating shrimp farm under construction and work with management to address potential operational issues.  Thorough evaluation of all of project from engineering, farm construction to production issues.  
 
RIA One  (Research Institute of Aquaculture # 1)  Vietnam and Norwegian Agency for International Development Cooperation 2005, 2006

Development of Fish Vaccines for Grouper and Cobia

Extensive visits to production facilities to learn production methods of cobia and where disease problems occur.  Worked with staff of RIA1 to teach them the principles of vaccine development including isolation of presumptive pathogens, confirmation of pathogenicity, development of a challenge model, preparation of vaccine and all facets of quality control, reproducible manufacture, packaging and marketing. 

 
Royal Mayan Shrimp Farms Ltd, Belize 2006, 2007

Development of tools for improving water quality in shrimp ponds

Testing and development of a tableted blend of spore forming bacteria under field conditions to determine optimal delivery and assess impacts on productivity.  Technical advisor.
 
Camanica, Nicaragua 2006

Audit of probiotic production methods

Evaluation of technology being used in a farm environment.  Included assessment of efficacy of approach, reproducibility of culture techniques, evaluation of effect and ability to demonstrate that the product was consistent and uniform.
